The crinkle isn't an accident. The yarn is twisted, then boiled, before it's ever woven, that's what gives this fabric its texture. My dear mum's convinced it needs a good iron. Thankfully, it's staying just as it is.
THE CRAFT Bedding is where people spend the most time with of anything we make, more hours than any towel or cup ever sees. That's part of why we went to the same maker we've trusted for years rather than someone new. We wanted to get the crinkle just right. Too tight and it loses its airy softness, too loose and it stops holding its shape. It's a balance our maker still checks by hand, batch after batch. XX Shenol
